Dr. Benenate has been a Long-term Care Medical Director for 32 years. He finds great reward in helping patients cope with aging and the medical issues that arise. he is motivated everyday by his participation in Ashford Hall’s healthcare team and their collective goal of keeping are residents happy and healthy.

Dr. B, as he is lovingly referred to, understands that patients are unique and therefore have unique experiences that require personalized attention and treatment plans.

Dr. B holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Texas, and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from UNT Health Science Center, Fort Worth, TX. He is board certified in Hospice and Palliative Care, and is a Certified Hospice Medical Director.

Dr. Michael Hassell

Dr. Michael Hassell, DO is a physiatrist currently working for Integrated Rehab
Consultants. Dr. Hassell is fellowship trained in interventional spine procedures and pain management. He is particularly interested in finding the best way to help patients recover their abilities or improve their functional status, and is excited to bring his expertise in physical medicine and rehabilitation to the patients
at Ashford Hall!

Not all skilled nursing facilities have a PM&R on staff. Ashford Hall believes care from a PM&R is vital to recovery.

Dr. Hassell earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science from The University of North Texas Health Science Center and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Olivia Shelby, PA-C

Olivia Selby, PA-C, is a physician assistant currently
working for Integrated Rehab Consultants. Olivia
chose to work in physiatry because she likes to be
able to improve a patient’s quality of life with physical
movement and therapy. She is passionate about
helping patients become stronger and gain back their
independence! Olivia is excited to bring her expertise in physical medicine and rehabilitation to the patients at Ashford Hall.
Brenda Guevara

Brenda is motivated everyday knowing that our residents and employees depend on her. She enjoys making people happy, giving them something to look forward to, and especially finding out about the residents and their personal stories. Brenda strives to create a home like environment at Ashford Hall so that our residents enjoy being a part of this loving family. She also takes pride in training employees so that the very best care is consistently provided. Brenda believes that its easy to get a job in this industry, but our employees come back each day based on their pure dedication to making the lives of our residents richer.

Brenda holds Bachelors degrees in Nutrition and Business Administration and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA).

Jacob Kline

Jake has been providing skilled nursing rehabilitation management for over eleven years. He finds observing the process of patient recovery to be a very rewarding experience. Hes is motivated everyday through the honor or watching the patient’s hard work in therapy pay off. He enjoys the out-of-the-box thinking that benefits the patients at Ashford Hall. He is particularly proud of leading the skilled rehab team.

Jake earned his Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Zane State College.

Darren Lee

Darren has been a senior executive in the nursing home industry for over 28 years. Darren has managed nursing facilities that have served and cared for thousands of residents and their families making a difference in their lives. But he notes that the real appreciation goes to the thousands of caring employees who he’s had the privilege to work with.

Darren feels the rewarding part of his role is seeing the gratitude and appreciation in the faces of the residents for the care and services they’ve received by our caring staff. He is motivated each day to make sure that the care and services needed daily by our residents are provided. Darren would like you to know that, The thing that sets apart Ashford Hall from other nursing homes is our staff who selflessly give of themselves to enrich the lives of others.”

Darren holds Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Utah and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Westminster College.

With 20 years at Ashford Hall, Nathan is a driven leader and an expert in executive level operations in the skilled nursing and post-acute care industry. Nathan is rewarded by caring for those who can no longer care for themselves and ensuring that our team is well-cared for as well. He is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and co-workers alike. Nathan states, “We have a caring team. Our team members come to work because they want to help our residents. Today, any one can go anywhere and get a job in this industry but our employees come back each day and help to make our residents lives better.”

Nathan earned a BS in Business Management from Brigham Young University and is a certified SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources).
